Reading Figure-heavy single-cell papers: clusters are hypotheses, not facts

A practical reminder for newcomers: a cluster in a UMAP is a hypothesis about a cell state, sensitive to resolution and preprocessing. Trust it when it's backed by known marker genes and is stable across reasonable parameter choices — not just because it looks like a tidy island in the embedding.
