Limitations of the design worth flagging for students

A few I'd want readers to keep in mind: BOLD is an indirect, slow proxy for neural activity; decoding accuracy depends on ROI choice and feature selection (risk of double-dipping if not split properly); and low-level visual confounds between categories can inflate decoding. None of this sinks the paper, but the inferential gap matters.
