What does this imply about incentives, not just individual studies?

The interesting critique isn't 'these researchers were sloppy'. It's that publication incentives (novelty, p<.05, low-powered designs) make false positives likely in expectation. Reading it as a structural/incentive problem points to fixes (preregistration, power, registered reports) that blaming individuals does not.
