How should non-experts read the confidence (pLDDT) scores?

TBtbecker· 10 days ago

The per-residue confidence is incredibly useful, but I worry people treat high pLDDT as 'this structure is true'. It's a calibrated confidence about this model's prediction, not ground truth, and it can be confidently wrong for novel folds or disordered regions. A short note on failure modes would help newcomers a lot.
